Atomic Butcher

Atomic Butcher is a decent platforming-shooter where you must make your way through ten levels, collecting as much meat as you can, killing enemies with your arsenal of weapons along the way.
Your main weapon in Atomic Butcher is, well...your "weapon." Yes, that's right, to take down an ordinary foe you will, uh, pee on them. It's not really that disgusting, though, as the creators didn't draw sprites for your character's you-know-what. Also very humorous is the character; he's a mutant on mission, and he'll say something sort of funny when he finds some meat. To kill the occasional tough group of foes, you also have access to weapons like the revolver, shotgun, flamethrower, and AK. Throughout your adventure, you'll find a healthy amount of ammunition for these weapons, but you will often have to resort to using your default weapon. The gameplay offers barely any new material, but the levels are well-made, the checkpoints evenly paced (many checkpoints scattered throughout huge levels, very much like Halo's), and I found myself compelled to complete each level. Also, if you get a certain amount of meat in a level, you'll be rewarded with weapon upgrades, which was a nice feature as well.

Atomic Butcher has barely any sound, making a splattering noise when you kill an enemy and a gunshot noise when you shoot something. This is made up for by the cool techno music playing in the background, but I can't help but wish for more sound. The game's graphics range from terribly ameteur-looking to average, and just barely get the job done. Graphics and sound aren't everything, but DHK could have done a better job. I adapt to playing games with bad graphics and sound pretty well, but AB's graphics and sound may be a turn-off to some players.
