Startup Delayer 2.3.134

Can you learn another language in the time it takes for your machine to boot? Do you turn on your PC when you go to bed, so it´s finished booting by the time you get home from work the next day?

When Windows loads its Startup file, it attempts to load every program in there at the same time. Therefore, if you have quite a lot of programs starting when Windows starts, each program will try and grab CPU time so that it can load.

If each program tries to do this at the same time, you soon notice the slow down that occurs, due to your CPU trying to help all the programs to load, and your hard disk accessing multiple files.

Startup Delayer allows you to setup how many seconds after Windows has started, to load each program.

For Example:
If you have your mail program and a special clock starting up, then you can make your mail start say 10 seconds after Windows has loaded, and then the special clock start 20 seconds after Windows Starts.

* Made the uninstall routine automatically restore all delayed applications back to their previous location. (Wasn't working on all systems)

Sticky Notes & Pads

Managing your day-to-day life is not an easy job to do. There are so many things to concern for - housekeeping, shopping, children... And what about cousin´s birthday you always forget? Or important phone numbers? Undoubtedly your working place is covered with dusty yellow (or blue, or pink) sticky notes. If so - PNotes is right for you. Throw the physical stickies away and replace them with virtual ones on your desktop.

PNotes (Pinned Notes or Portable Notes, use what you prefer) is written entirely in C and Windows API - so it is fast and light-weight. It has flexible settings - both for the program in whole and for individual note. Skins, fonts, colors, alarms, transparency level - all-in-one. Any portion of note´s text can be formatted separately.

There is a variety of skins for PNotes and, moreover, you can create your own one if download PNSkinCreator - a small utility for creation PNotes skins. Notes can also be skinless, that allows stretching them to any reasonable size. You can also dock notes to any side of screen (all at once or each note separately).

Scheduling is also important feature of PNotes. It is possible to schedule each note to remind you about significant events by three different ways - alarm you once, every day at specified time or pester you every specified interval.

One more PNotes feature - ability to join notes into groups by your choice. You can create, modify, delete and relocate groups by simple click or drag-and-drop. Changing group for each note performed by dragging it onto appropriate group. PNotes is fully Unicode supported and translated into many languages. Now it has also favorites system and Recycle bin.

And, obviously, it is portable - it leaves no traces in Windows registry and can be started from any drive (fixed or flash) on any computer. Take your notes with you to any location.

What´s New in version 4.5.105:

* Favorites system - right click on note´s non-client area and choose Add To Favorites (Remove From Favorites).
* Custom fonts - fonts should be in ´fonts´ directory within the program directory. Then follow ´Preferences --> Appearance --> Use custom fonts´. Fonts are registered for private use of program and unregistered after the program exits.
* Sending note via e-mail as attachment. MS Outlook users - Outlook tries to treat .pnote files as simple RTF files and even changes their extension to .rtf while receiving - Wit Works Woe! Save the file as .pnote and continue to work with it.

* Recycle Bin (like in Windows, if you hold left Shift while deleting, the note will be destroyed permanently). Emptying/restoring of Recycle Bin can be made via Control Panel.
* Instead of ´Show All´, ´Hide All´ there are now ´Show Groups´, ´Hide Groups´ menu items in the system tray popup menu, allow you to show/hide specified groups of notes (or show/hide all notes).
* Autosave operation will now include newly created notes as well.
* Prompt to load autosaved notes after program crash will now appear only if there is at least one autosaved note.
* New scheduler type - ´Weekly´. It allows selection of 1 - 7 weekdays and time. The program will alarm you each selected weekday at selected time.
* New scheduler type - ´After´. It allows selection of start date/time and amount of [years][months][weeks][days][hours][minutes][seconds]. The program will alarm you after this amount is reached.
* Added option to show Control Panel on program start.
